Toledo LISC: The Next Generation

May 26, 15 Toledo LISC: The Next Generation

During the past two decades, Toledo LISC has invested over $100 million in Toledo to create affordable housing, vibrant commercial corridors and expand economic opportunities for residents in our city’s most distressed neighborhoods.  All the while, Hugh Grefe, a lifelong community developer, and civil rights champion, has been at the helm of Toledo LISC guiding this good work.

Grefe retires later this month, passing the torch to Toledo’s next generation of community development champions.  Kim Cutcher, a 15-year veteran of community work and current deputy director of Toledo LISC will officially take over as Toledo LISC’s new executive director starting June 1st.
“I am very pleased with how the leadership transition is occurring our Toledo office.  Our long-time leader Hugh Grefe has recruited and mentored our new leader Kim Cutcher.  Kim brings a rich experience and strong technical and leadership skills to our work going forward,” said Anika Goss Foster, program vice president for the Midwest.  “Our mission in Toledo has been and will be well served.”

“Toledo LISC affords me the opportunity to work alongside business and civic leaders dedicated to strengthening our community by creating opportunities for people and places,”  according to Cutcher.  Cutcher’s passion for the community remains palpable as she continues her journey of service to Toledo in her new role, declaring that “LISC is an amazing organization committed to creating places where people and business choose to thrive, and I’m excited to be a part of the team both locally and nationally.”

  1. Congrats to Kim. I have known Hugh for a number of years and know you have a solid foundation to build upon. Good luck Kim.
