2nd Annual Glass City Film Festival: May 18-May 21, 2017

Our partners, The Ohio Theatre and Event Center, a program of United North, and The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo partner on Creative Placemaking projects. These projects are designed to reinvigorate North Toledo neighborhoods through cultural and artistic opportunities at the historic theatre. Programs engage residents by offering youth classes, family friendly events, and creative spaces for local artists to perform. These efforts celebrate the culture and history of the neighborhood by empowering residents to assist with the design and implementation of such activities.

The next program, the 2nd Annual Glass City Film Festival (GCFF), will kick off a weekend of film and music starting with the Art Commission’s Art Loop, scheduled for May 18. The GCFF will continue Friday, May 19 – Sunday, May 21 at the Ohio Theatre.

The film festival will present another fantastic line up of films that showcase talent from our region and around the globe. 25 films were selected to screen from different genres, including documentary, narrative, thriller, international, and a special block of emerging local talent. Screening blocks range from family-friendly to adult-oriented with each short averaging 12-25 minutes in length. Individual tickets are $10 Per Screening. Avid movie-goers and film festival fans can also purchase an All Event “Fancy Pass” for $60 to have access to all screenings and activities at the film festival, including access to the VIP room during the After Party on Opening Night.

Tickets can be purchased online at the GCFF website or at the Ohio Theatre Box Office when doors open.
